An increasing number of people are being diagnosed with skin
infections caused by Staphylococcus Aureas bacteria that(staph) cannot be
treated
with many commonly used antibiotics. One of these resistant strains
of the bacteria commonly referred to as “staph” is called “MRSA”
(Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus). MRSA infections have become
more
prevalent, even among healthy individuals. Also, outbreaks of MRSA
have been reported in sports teams when the infection had not been
properly diagnosed and measures were not taken to prevent the spread
of infection to other individuals.
