WIC is a United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service health program
which provides:

- Breastfeeding support and breast pump loan program
- Nutrition education for yourself and your children, including great recipes.
- Supplemental foods like: milk, cheese, cereal, juices, eggs, peanut butter or beans,
infant formula, tuna fish and caarrots (if you are breastfeeding).

If eligible, you will receive coupons to buy nutritious foods at a local grocery store or pharmacy.

Who is Eligible?
• Pregnant Women
• Breastfeeding Mothers
• Postpartum Women
• Infants and children up to five years old

Eligibility Requirements
• Live in Ashland County
• Are at nutritional and medical risk
• Must be at or below the WIC income guidelines

WIC provides monthly reports to the Ashland County-City Boards of Health.
WIC began with the Ashland County-City Health Department on December 1, 1981.
The office is located adjacent to the Nursing Division Clinic on the First Floor of
the Ashland County Office Building.
