
Falls Prevention Awareness Day

Learn how to prevent falls and participate in free balance and exercise sessions at Ashland County Health Department’s Falls Prevention Awareness Day. Activities begin at 9 a.m. and last until noon at the Freer Field Visitor Center, 1301 Park Street. Falls Prevention Awareness Day Flyer
Please feel free to join us for the entire event, or just for the activities that interest you! Blood pressures and health screenings will be available throughout the event (9 a.m. – noon).
- 9 to 9:30 a.m. – Welcome featuring park naturalist Mary Meixner and a wellness journey testimonial by Kimmie Humrichouser. Kimmie is a proud senior citizen and owner of Skitter Kreek Designs.
- 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. – Guided Walk of the 1-mile loop at Freer Field
- 10:45 a.m. – Chair Yoga with Shelley and Yo (indoors at the Freer Field Visitor Center)
- 11 a.m. – Tai Chi with Krissy Hickey (indoors at the Freer Field Visitor Center)
- 11:15 a.m. – Balance Exercises with Lynn Friebel (indoors at the Freer Field Visitor Center)
